OSP looks to make a statement this Saturday night!

I had the privilege to watched Haitian-American MMA fighter Ovince St. Preux (OSP) at UFC 159, where he got the win over Gian Villante via TKO. Since then, he has won four of his last five fights. OSP is currently ranked #10 in the UFC Light Heavyweight division. In his last bout, he suffered a lost to Ryan Bader in a five rounder last August. This Saturday is UFC Fight Night 56 which was originally headlined with a Light Heavyweight contest between Jimi Manuwa and MaurĂcio "Shogun" Rua, but Manuwa was pulled out of the bout because of an injury. and now OSP is in the main event.

This scheduled five round fight is, without an doubt, OSP's most important fight of his career. His opponent, MaurĂcio "Shogun" Rua, is an absolute threat who has held titles both in the Pride FC and UFC organizations. Shogun Rua has stepped in the cage with notable fighters such as: Dan Henderson, Alistair Overeem, Quinton Jackson, and Jon Jones among others. However, it would be a foolish mistake to take OSP likely. OSP has a record of 16-6, and earned most of his wins by submission, technical knockout, or knockout. Along with that, he has superb wrestling skills which he is always improving.

This battle will be a great opportunity for OSP to redeem himself from his previous lost. With a win over Shogun Rua, he will definitely make a huge statement in his division. The MMA world and I are looking forward to Ovince St. Preux's upcoming bout!
